Default Attention all spammers (please read)

Hello,

Unfortunately Craft.co.uk being an excellent and prestigious forum (thanks to our lovely members and ever-patient moderators ), regularly comes under attack from spammers.

Spammers can be recognised by their generally banal and inappropriate use of language coupled with misguided attempts to link to uninteresting and generally crappy products or websites.

Any spammer posting keywords linked to their site here, will have their keywords changed to reflect the spammy and crappy nature of their marketing. This will assist search engines in relegating their sites to the dump where they belong.

Please let me know by private message or email if you come across any such posts, and I will be more than happy to deal with them.

Thanks,

Philip

Great Idea. Much better than just deleting them.

Maybe we could change this into a name and shame thread.

Yes. The particular thorns in our side are people like ID Management, who are spammers you wouldn't want to do business with together with Freedom Contracts, a spamming car company please don't support them.

I have contacted both companies and asked them politely to stop spamming us. If they do, then I'm happy to remove the links above. If they don't, then I will report their link spamming to Google.

Philip

I rather hope word is getting around, there seems to be at least a slight drop in the amount of spam we're getting - or maybe it's just a Christmas lull.

Anyway please keep reporting any spam, and I'll keep posting it here. I also email the sites involved so they're aware of this page, no response from any of them yet though.

Philip
