Default Origami

For christmas I got an origami set - and must say, when I get a chance, it's fantastic - I'm still learning and would say I'm still in beginners stage but wondering if anyone else enjoys it? x

I love it too.

Interesting to use on napkins at dinner parties.

And there are lots of good books around for more ideas.

Hi,

I love origami. I used to do lots of japanese origami when I was a kid. There're also some websites teaching origami as well.

Origami is the traditional Japanese folk art of paper folding. It has since then evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. The number of basic origami folds is small, but they can be combined in a variety of ways to make intricate designs.

Strangely I was at the Sandringham Craft fair last weekend (Living Heritage) and for the first time ever I saw an origami stand there. Unfortunately I was busy so I didn't really get a chance to see what they were doing although it looked as if there was a "have a go" areas... I assume they were selling the books / designs and papers. Certainly some of the examples they had on display looked stunning.

Origami's are good for any occasions.

I've tried making different styles of origami before.

And it's all so great!
