Comfort Food!! What's yours?

I am sitting here eating a huge bowl of pasta with a chunk vegetable sauce and it got me thinking,

What is your ultimate comfort food?

Are you a sweet or savoury person?

I have to say mine has to be pasta with a nice sauce. I could eat pasta every day and have to admitt in cold, wet weather like this i love to snuggle up in front of the fire with a huge bowl, mmmmmmmmmm.

Another one who's comfort food is Chocolate, but if it is really bad any sweets will work it is just the quantity that matters!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do have quite a list, to be fair. It depends on what I fancy at the time, but top of the list is definitely chocolate.

There's also:

* crisps (but not anything with sour cream, chive or sweet chili)
* chips (with salt, vinegar and ketchup)
* chicken breast (roast, grilled or fried - I'm not fussy)
* Peanut M&Ms
* cherry & almond or apricot & almond chocolate bars/cakes/puddings

My ultimate comfort food is home made shepherds pie! Thing is when I most need it (ie now!) I am not well enough to make it and it is never the same if frozen!

PS - do like kitkats though!! Had some with me in London at the QVC event in July when we thought we were going to meet up but we were there on different days! I have got the right person, haven't I? Or am I getting really old, minute by minute

Yes you have and really wish that I could have gone to Rosemary weekend but can't afford it at the moment as would have really liked to have met up.

All this talk about food is making my mouth water.
I have to say chocolate comes 1st don't care what kind as long as it's milk or white (don't like the dark),then it's toasted teacakes with lot's of butter,then we have cheese ,just found a nice 1 with sundried tomatos and spring onion it's gorgeous,also crunchy nut cornflakes.

Fresh crusty bread with butter and chunks of feta cheese, or chocolate (dark is fine), Cadbury's creme eggs, mashed potato, cake and custard. Not all at once though! God, I'm making myself hungry!!

Why is comfort food fattening? Why does nobody have fruit or salad as a comfort food?

Mashed potatoes with melted cheese and salad cream or mayo! Toast, crisps. Or a bottle of Red Wine!! LOL

I'm more of a savoury person but that doesn't stop me from craving chocolate. Chocolate is about the only sweet thing I crave whether it be choccie cookies, choccie cake or just choccie. :)

I really love pasta though, anything pasta!
