Hi all
As you are well aware we have had some serious problems so as a result I am extending the deadline for the Spring Challenge in the hope that everyone who had posted photos of their entries will please do so again and also get those of you who did not know about this lovely challenge with a PRIZE which is a book of your choosing (will post more details later).
OK the challenge was to create ANY item that is to do with Spring - simple as that and you now have another couple of weeks until mid April to do so.
Will be back laters with more info but until then get your photos back on line and if you have not started you can still enter as you have plently more time now!
OK sorry took a bit longer than I wanted BUT the prize this time is from THE ALTERED ELEMENT (http://www.alteredelement.co.uk/epages/es108190.sf) - BIG thanks to Lynne!
**Laura Ashley Embellishment Tins now in stock...limited quantities remaining**
Welcome to our new shop! Whether you enjoy altered or mixed media art, dabble in doll making or creative stitching or simply love to use different materials in your scrapbooking and cardmaking, you'll find all sorts of unusual and wonderful goodies here.
Keep checking back to keep up-to-date with all the new items being added and feel free to contact us if there is anything you would like to see in the shop...if it's not already here or on its way, we'll do our best to find it!
Go and have a visit and you will see the lovely books that they have in stock and ONE of these could be YOURS if you are the WINNER of the SPRING CHALLENGE! You now have until next Monday morning 14 April by 10am to get your entries posted - we will then vote until 8pm on Sunday 20th April when the winner will be announced!
Go on have a go - we don't have much competition yet!

Hello everybody, I'm new to this site, just wanted to introduce myself! I mostly work with paper crafts, but sewing comes high on my list too.

I take it that we will have to repost our entry for the challenge? Presumably the 50 post entry rule will be relaxed for those that had posted enough before the site went down?

I think that for this challenge we will just have to relax the 50 post limit! Don't know if we can upload yet either so keep trying!

OK we have no gallery at the moment as you might have gathered BUT that does not mean you cannot post your pics on here - just insert them as part of your message! I know we have seen some of the entries before but as you can gather we need to see them again so come on and share!

Hi here is my entry for the Spring Challenge again.
As you can see, its a small book. The front cover has a bunny stamped on the front cover and has been handpainted with pearlescent paints. The flowers are by prima.

This second spread has Anna Griffin stickers, background papers I had lying around.

One third page, I have used Marie Curie stickers on the left hand page. On the right, I have used a Marie Curie stamp and hand painted it in. Its been decorated with stick on ribbons.

The fifth page has wisteria painted onto an oriental style backing. The stickers spelling spring time are colourblok.

The final page has Anna Griffin tulip stickers. Each page has a toning ribbon running round it and they have been tied to form a multicoloured tassle round the spine.

i know, i`ve just read that bit just now. I dont care, didn`t want a discount on books anyway. I`ll just have to flash it off for my own achievement when it is finished. I didn`t think it was going to take this long to do what i am doing, i spend atleast 1 hour a day and some times more doing it, not going to say what it is either, people will just have to wait another month or more if they are still intrested to see it.

with all this snow we are now having, shouldn`t you scrub the spring challenge and go straight on to a winter challenge, yesterday i was in the garden getting a sun tan....you wouldn`t have thought so today it`s freezing.

Must be good to be an expert at something, have to wait and see what i have finished to see if i`m anywhere near an expert. I got a quater left to do, so shouldn`t be too long now. Just hope it`s worth all the fuss i have made about it. For some reason i can`t stop going on about it. I suppose it`s the fact i`ve never really sat and made anything before....well for a long time anyway.
