Well that is what he wanted the thread called LOL - his word and all that :D!
We are starting off July with a craft TSV in the form of a PINK Big Bite so get onto the website and have a look NOW is you have been wanting one but hated the tangerine colour!

Jalapenos it is! News so hot you'd have to wear heavy-duty oven mits to handle it, and even then it would be too hot to handle! I can't actually remember what the news is, but I'm sure it will come to me...........

Hi
Been good so far only got the TSV as couldn't resist it being pink and all the lovely eyelets as well!!!
sugarplum
1st July 2008, 05:26 PM
I've got the big bite on chequehold and the case as I really like the 50 designer eyelets included that make it quite a good buy.
I sold my original tsv cropodile as I didnt like the restriction on where I could set them (sold it on that auction site and actually got more than I paid for it, go figure!)
Bagpuss
1st July 2008, 06:11 PM
Still not bought it!
Nigel! You are very naughty! Asking for a hot thread and then forgetting what it was you had to tell us LOL! What has Rosemary got coming up to tempt us with in the future then? Noticed the Cloud 9 cat kit was in clearance - such a shame they are not continuing with it as it is a great kit to work with and I would have loved to have seen Rosemary's samples - if you still have them will you share on here???

I've put the Big Bite and the case/accessories into my basket, but will need to check it out in the next 20 minutes or lose it as it's very limited stock.
The question is, DO I NEED IT??????

1st July 2008, 09:28 PM
If I only bought what I need I would be a lot richer!
Wizadeborah
1st July 2008, 09:34 PM
I decided that I didn't need the Big Bite as I've already got the Cropadile and I don't like orange. But as it's pink, I've ordered it for my b'day from hubby!! (And for my sis for xmas!)

I converted my cheque hold on the BB and the case to my credit card. Even though I am a card maker rather than a scrapbooker the extra reach is a big plus and I decided I just had to have a matching case (those designer eyelets were too much temptation too)

Yay Bagpuss! hehe
If you want a BigBite or a CropaDile get them soon. We R Memory Keepers has had to increase the price in the US by 40% because of a the increased price in manufacturing. Which means that once the UK supply has run out and more have to be brought over from the US the price will have to increase!

That is how I convicned myself !!! In fact from what I understand a lot of goods that are made in China will go up as the minimum wage there has been increased - which means a lot of stash will be rising in price!

Had confirmation that Zutter products are going up too from a shop with I deal with down here. At the moment they are doing the Round It All for £13.50 which they are going to honour on this delivery but when I asked outright I was told they are getting emails through putting up the prices - already heard about the DreamKutz and that is going up as will the Bind It All.

Sorry Helen - we had a couple of days away before the crazy London/Chicago period starts, so we just got home. What have I missed? Tell me....tell me
Anyone got an invite to this weeks QVC Customer Event? If you have, be sure to say hello to Rosemary and I, and don't miss her make 'n' take either!
I'm hoping you're going to see some great new products in Rosemary's shows before the month is out, I'm just not sure what's arrived yet. Her next show is Monday 14th at 3.00pm. I wonder....... I just wonder.....

It's not fair ... :(
poppysno
6th July 2008, 08:19 PM
From what I can gather, it's a random selection. Rosemary shops for loads of other types of products (beauty stuff etc), but has never been invited to one of their events. On the craft side I think 500 people are invited over the two days, but when you think of the size of the customer base, it's natural that only a small percentage of people will receive an invite.
Bagpuss
6th July 2008, 08:42 PM
Leonie nothing here either :( I'll make you a deal that if either of us gets an invite we will invite the other???
Funny thing was I was wondering about that event this week and hoping something might turn up! Mind you my Dad says a lot of post from this area has ended up with him for sorting so there might be hope yet!
Been away - OK that's allowed seeing as you work so hard - just tell us next time LOL!!

I dont mean to sound bitter, as I have never been invited to the eclusive gathering, but rather than treat a small percentage of customers why not treat all of us who order from qvc with a free postage day or half price postage or something similar.
Anyway who is going, please tell and I would love to know what haoppens at them?

Lol - well as far as I can remember, there have only been two proper ones in London and a much smaller thing one year in Liverpool way back. So I'm dubious about people having been repeatedly invited.

Hey hey - where have you all been? Oh yeah, it's me that aint not been here aint it! The QVC event was last Thursday and Friday, and we travelled to London Wednesday. Hence you haven't been able to hear my dulcet tones for a while. But I'm here now - what was it you wanted to know? Was it about tomorrow's show, or craft day on 26 July, or Rosemary's show on 3 August? Go on, you have only to ask and I'll be happy to, erm, be evasive! Till then, here's a copy of an email I sent to our (rapidly growing list) a few moments ago:------
Just a reminder that Rosemary is presenting an hour of scrapbooking products on QVC tomorrow - Monday 14 July, at 3.00pm. First thing Tuesday she flies off to Chicago with Joel and her dad for a week to a major trade show to suss out loads of lovely products for our shop and to show on QVC, and then when she returns there's craft day on 26 July, when she'll be on air at 1.00pm and 9.00pm. We think you won't want to miss those shows!
Also, our workshop programme until the end of August is now available - email me at crabapplecrafts@aol.com (crabapplecrafts@aol.com) if you'd like to receive a copy. One of my (many) jobs while Rosemary's away is to sort out the Christmas workshop programme, so watch out for that, coming to your PC in the next week or so! Or maybe I'll go fishing instead (shhhhhhh - don't tell her I said that, heheheheh)
That's all for now.
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Nige

Just came on to say thank you for the email reminder re Rosemary's show tomorrow.
I am doing holiday at home rather than going anywhere (skint). Hubby has gone to visit his mum as she has hospital tests early in the week. If it wasn't for Rosemary's show all I have to look forward to is my dentist appt tomorrow morning :-(. (oh and going to the bank to pay a bit off my credit card ...am finding anything re money very depressing at the moment). I am hoping that dentst will be able to do something with tooth without resorting to a crown (expensive) as it is crumbling. I know I need to lose weight but everything I have eaten or drunk today has given me indigestion/stomach pain.
Sorry for moaning. I really cam on to thank Nige for cheering me up a bit.
Anyway Nige, I think you DESERVE to go fishing at least once whilst Rosemary is away. All work and no play and all that.
Wishing you both a safe journey tomorrow.

[QUOTE=Bagpuss;6940]Where you all gone then????
/QUOTE]
Hi Bagpuss
I just popped on to find out what's going on ... and the answer seems to be "not much". Other forums I go on are very quiet too.
However, we all know that Rosemary Merry (and lots of other TV craft personalities/craft suppliers) are in Chicago at the moment and Nigel is probably out with his fishing rod (of course, to give him the benefit of the doubt,he might be knee deep in paperwork), so it is safe to give the forums a miss and get on with crafting. It may just be this credit crunch though. Or maybe it is just BBQ/summer party time (can you tell I don't do BBQs).
I keep telling myself, I must not spend, I must not spend, ... I must not ... oh blast, I can't pass up THAT bargain. Tooth needs crown AND root filling (why can't he just pull it?) oh dear, my poor flexible friend is buckling under the strain.
How are you doing at the moment ... I think I remember you saying you were getting a new job? Have you started yet? I've been hearing a lot of rumours about Craft Central, which is a shame.
All the bet

I can't believe your hubby wont go! It's fantastic - everything is. The sun, the eating, the shopping, and Disney - the chance to be a kid again! If you can, fly into Sanford because it's less hassly. That means flying with BA or Mytravel. Get onto the Dollar site and rent yourself a car. Loads of sites do park tickets so that's easy. And villas aren't bad too - around £500 per week. Wow - I'm getting all excited for you!

Hello hello
So that's the plan is it? A big craft.co.uk jolly to CHA next year!
So what do I have for you today? News soooooo hot it’s gonna burn straight through your oven mitts!
Rosemary is presenting two hours of scrapbooking products on QVC Craft Day on Saturday 26th July at 1.00pm and 9.00pm. The product line-up is finalised and we’re really (really) excited about what you’re going to see. Both of her hours are crammed with great products and I hope you’re going to feel spoiled for choice! My two favourite kits are the fifth item in each hour. Know what that means? You have to watch BOTH hours to see what I’m talking about – mwahahahahahaaaa! But I think you’ll agree afterwards that it was worth it.
Can I also just remind those who are local to our shop, that our half-price sale starts on Tuesday 29th July at 10.00am. We’ve already set aside oodles of great stuff that you can get at a bargain price, but between getting home from London on Sunday, and the end of Monday, we’ll be putting many more products into it. It’s got to be worth a look!
And finally, we hope to be publishing our Christmas workshop programme along with the start of the sale on Tuesday, and I’ll be emailing it out to you. The programme will run from 1 September until mid December and we have some really great cardmaking and scrapbooking projects in store. Any bookings made during August for workshops on or after 1 September will attract double loyalty stickers, to be given on the day of the workshop.
And finally finally, don’t forget Rosemary will be presenting a very special TSV on 30 September. Ooooooooooh!
Big smile for you all
Nige x

Hi again Mandi. The first weekend is Sunday 7 Sept, and then Saturday 18 October. Maybe others too. It's a full day class and it's £30.00. I hope to mail the schedule out on Monday evening.

What with the trailer and everything, I thought we saw rather a lot of our lovely Nige yesterday! Shame he wouldn't come on again for a quick hello like he did one time previously.

Busy all day Sat, so I've just finished watching the scrapbooking programs. Some really nice items, of course the ones I might have bought have already sold out. loved the acrylic albums and some lovely papers and embelishments. Wasn't it good to see some new things

Leonie that was very lucky to get him on that time - it was conspiring with Catherine Huntley that did it! I sent her an email and between us we cooked it up so that he would have to come on air LOL!
Agree it was a good weekend with Rosemary and I loved the acrylic albums too - DD was thrilled to see so much of herself too!

Why did Scrapbooking have to loose 10 mins or so to show the die cutting machine which had its own program later in the day?
LeonieM
28th July 2008, 10:34 PM
It's an expensive piece of kit, and they probably hoped to catch the scrapbookers who would probably not tune in for the later dedicated hour.
If I thought I could order it, use all the papers up and then send it back within the 30 days, I would!
But of course, I didn't say that ...

Hi - we're just back from a two day break. So much to catch up on - only around 60 emails. Sigh........... never mind eh. Glad you enjoyed the shows though. If you liked those then you'll love September. And boy are bookings going well for our Christmas workshops - 130 in three days! Phew!

From an email I sent to our list just now:
Hi De Hi ............. (no - don't say it, I know it's tempting!)
I just wanted to send you a quick reminder that this is the first weekend of our 50% sale and there are loads of goodies in it. In fact, we had so many products in it that we couldn't fit it all in, and have been adding to it each day.
Also, I should mention that we've had 130 bookings for our Christmas programme since we first published it four days ago. Of course, there are lots of places left on all workshops, but if it continues at this rate you're going to have needed to have booked early to get onto the ones you hoped to.
I'm behind with emails so if you emailed in the last few days, as quite a few of you have, I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
And finally, I had an email from Brenda Pinnick yesterday about her November visit ............. more on that soon .......... (oh I know, I'm just a big tease............. heheheh)
Have a great weekend.

Can't wait for Brenda's visit - hopefully we are going to meet up! Do you recall the competition she judged last November that I was lucky enough to have won? Part of that was that she was going to do a LO for me - sent her the photos and given her free reign so she is going to do something wonderful now for DD!!
Hope you are having a busy day with the sale Nige!
