I have just completed my first year at the University of East Anglia and was given a summer project to turn a red pen into something profitable and of benefit to society. I therefore decided to decorate my red pen and ask for others to make things inspired by my red pen which can be almost anything! These items will be sold at a big Norwich event. Alongside this I am asking well known celebrity crafters to make an item which I will auction off on eBay. All the profits will go to a charity, I have one in mind but am waiting to hear back from them, but I hope it be a charity which helps certain disabled children with their education.
The Course Director of this course believes this project will not work or be a success but I think she has misjudged the crafting community! We need to prove to her it will work and make a nice amount for the chosen charity
You can have great fun experimenting and making things with this project, get the children, family, local club involved. Get creative as a group and make it a social event.
I have a blog here for more information on the project if needed – http://littleredpens.blogspot.com/
If you would like to help and send me something made by you please pm me and I will send you my address. All items by all sorts of people and ages welcome. As the advert says, every little helps.
The deadline is 20th of August so there is a while to make things!
