It looks a dull but kind of warm day outside. I'm off in town soon to buy birthday presents. Later we are going to friends for a birthday party. It's my elder son's 20th birthday on Wednesday (he can't be 20 cos I'm still only 25 aren't I??) and my younger son is in France on a school trip. Hope everyone has a great week. )

I'm just having a quick go of my forums before packing and going home. I always hate the journey home, and there's never a good time to do it. I'd go after lunch, but I have washing and stuff to do as it's a working/school day tomorrow. I know there's not much morning left, but we only got up at 10am today.

Oh well Leonie at least you got a lie in today! DD was up at 6am as usual today. I made some lovely fluffy American style pancakes with maple syrup for brekkie today that were yummy and it was really nice we all sat down together for breakfast as it happens so rarely!

I hope that you have all had a lovely bank holiday weekend xx

We're home. Got back just before 3pm. My mum made lunch early so we could get away before 1.30pm. A few idiots on the road - such as someone doing 40mph the entire way from Bognor right through Littlehampton and out the other side. I couldn't get past him until the dual carriageway. Then a stupid Chinese girl who was driving at 35-40mph in a de-restricted zone, causing total havoc behind her. Honestly, if you want to drive that slowly, then you should be prepared to pull over and let the huge queue of cars behind you who have somewhere to go get past you! And isn't it always the way that the minute the road markings give you 'permission' to overtake, there's always something coming the other way which prevents you from doing so.
I've put a wash on - remembering as I did so that I should have bought some more colour Ariel tabs in Tesco on Saturday afternoon. I only have 3 washes left now ... I'll just have to wash them in the 'whites' and lump it.

I hate that living round and out of boxes stage. I remember the last time we moved - the week before we got married (Aug 1991), and there were boxes of our engagement presents all over the place as we had to show people round my flat. It doesn't give a very good example, does it.

I've just been checking all the Cats Protection League sites in the area, and the ones in Thurrock and Eltham have lots of kittens to home. There are also some gorgeous cats at Eltham looking for a home.
The first step, though, will be to go to the local vets and check their classifieds' wall to see what's available locally.

Leonie check the RSPCA - our local one charges £60 for one cat £100 for two and that includes all vaccinations, neutering, worming and microchipping(neutering alone around here cost that much let alone everythinge else!). I do know that this varies with the different branches tho so worth checking. There is also a place called Foal Farm in Biggin Hill that is an animal rescue place if this is any help.
Anyway I got my lovely prize this week - so if you want a look at that and also a couple of cards I have made then pop along to my blog!

Morning all :)
I'm back! What a great weekend we all had, I have Looby at home today with the poorlies, she's not seeming too bad so I'm wondering if she's just exhausted from 4 days of non-stop activity!
Anyway I'll be posting to my blog all week this week with news of our adventures, I started last night with what we got up to on Friday so please do pop over to my blog (http://www.defyinggavity.blogspot.com) and have a read and maybe even leave a comment, it always surprises me how i get barely any comments ever!
Nothing much planned for today just generally catching up on stuff!

Sounds like you had lots of fun Louise. I've been looking after Looby all day, she has a horrid temperature and isn't well at all poor bean. I have been working on a new coffee table album of our holidays which is looking amazing, I seem to be running out of space though as I only have 7 pages left for 2 and a half days, LOL. It's sort of like Digi-scrapping but even more simple!

It's a gorgeous day in Newcastle and I think Looby is picking up a little so we may venture outside later.

It's another gorgeous sunny day here, I have a little of the post holiday blues, mostly due to coming back and hardly seeing Paul since, he's had to take someone on for the summer which is brilliant and I'm so pleased for him, I just miss him :(
Oh well, never mind, thats life I suppose. I've just completed my print orders so thumb twiddling shall commence!!

We went to Bluewater this afternoon. It wasn't deserted, but there were a LOT of parking spaces available. Clearly it was too nice to go shopping! :D
We went to BK for lunch - where I stitched myself up by biting down hard on something hard in my baguette, leaving me with a really bad aching tooth ever since.
However, I got some red and purple linen crop trousers in Evans and two over-sized teeshirts, and a new handbag in Clarks. Finally, I bought myself some new white Birkenstock Arizona sandals, having worn my old ones to death. They had some Ibiza ones in the most gorgeous bright pink, so I bought them as well.
OH thought he'd lost his keys, and drove me mad all the way home. As soon as we got home and he still couldn't find them, he started mithering about going all the way back to Bluewater to find them. I got his bag, unzipped it and tipped the contents out onto his office chair. Right in the bottom of the bag, mixed up with his bluetooth and earphones was his bunch of keys. See, I was right as usual! He ALWAYS does this to us - he can be a real nightmare to go anywhere with.

Hello peeps, sorry about your tooth Leonie, I hope it resolves itself, I'm still in agony with my jaw, it really needs to get sorted out quickly!
I have had a brilliant day though, booked my 18th wedding for this year this morning, a small relaxed affair but hey thats my favourite and all my weddings are increasingly becoming small relaxed affairs!!
I did a pre-shoot this afternoon which was so filled with love and fun it's left me all squishy!! Photos are as ever on the blogarooo-oooo-oooo (http://www.defyinggavity.blogspot.com)!

Had a lovely day watching DD2 playing out in the garden in the sunshine.....I havent crafted in over a week which is odd for me. Did manage to take pics of some stash I am selling all in aid of funds for my retreat in a few weeks....they're on my blog if anyone fancies a nosey....
Right off to have a nosey at your blog Mandy and wow....18 weddings booked, it is really great news to hear that....really great

Just seen your blog, Mandy. I recognised the MOMI at Bradford straight away - we visited with my sister-in-law and niece when we were staying with them in Leeds a good few years back.
And yes, I agree with you about the soon-to-be newly weds, as well. Don't they look happy!

Morning All :D
It's not sunner here at the moment but I'm hoping it will be later as I have another pre-wedding shoot scheduled for 3pm and it's up at Linden Hall in Northumberland so the photos will be completely different to yesterday. Paul is out working this morning so it's just me, oh and Iain who is currently banned from all treats after refusing to go to stay at his grandads last night in the biggest tantrum you've ever seen and I wouldn't mind but he's missed out on a trip to York and will spend the day being dragged about by us while we work! I did sort of expect something to occur though as it's his SATS next week so tensions are running really high inspite of us trying to not stress him and tell him it doesnt matter how he does as long as he tries his best!
