Hi all

I'm thinking very seriously about holding a second craft fair in Orpington, probably in July some time. Last time it was August, and everyone was away on holiday, so I thought July might work better.

If anyone is interested in either learning more (seeing as the previous threads about last year's event have been lost in The Great Crash), and/or is interested in taking a stand for the day, do please let me know.

Stephanie Weightman of Create & Craft was our special guest last year, and has already indicated that she would be very interested in coming again if the date fits in with her calendar.

I've already had enquiries from people who want to attend such a fair!!

Thanks. :D

Hi

I live in Bromley and would be very interested in being part of the craft fair in either July/August.

Let me have details.

Thanks alot

I make hand made cards, scarves, purses, bags, key rings, magnets etc.

Thanks for your interest. I can tell you now that people in Orpington are 'doers' rather than 'buyers' and they want to buy the bits to make their own cards rather than the completed cards. I discovered that for myself - sold lots of bits, but not one of my ready-made cards.

I'll keep you up to date on developments (or lack of them).

Leonie if you can I would do it before the school hols start cause that is when people start to go away. Would be lovely if Stephanie could come again - let me know and I will try and come up after work if it is on a Saturday.

Yes, I would certainly do it in July this time. The thing is, it's just occurred to me that its less than 3 months away now, and a lot also depends on what craft shows are taking place this summer - and whether traders are free to come along again. I had several who couldn't come last time because they were either on their summer break or at other fairs.

I really need to e-mail everyone who came last year and see if they'd be interested in coming again.

Leonie if you could not do a summer one had you thought about doing an autumn one say in early October when people are back at work and will be thinking about Christmas?

Would give you more time to plan it, provided you could get the hall.
