Hi Leonie
Hope you have a good holiday with the shortest delays possible, no flooded apartments, sprained ankles or any other mishaps. Take care. Just wondering whether we should give the American shops notice that a British citizen is on her way to shop.

Thanks for that, Lorraine!
I have spoken to Virgin this morning, and guess what! Today's flight is delayed by about 8 hours as well!!!!
However, tomorrow's is currently showing as running on time. Well, that is a relief, but with more snow forecast for tomorrow, anything can happen. Virgin unfortunately confirm that even if our flight is delayed up 8 hours, we still have to be at their airport for our normal check-in time. That is because there's always the chance they will be given an earlier window so everyone needs to be there ready.
I have to renew my car park season ticket this morning ready for when we get back as it runs out on Thursday, and then it's all hands on deck. OH has brought the suitcases up ready, and I will get the flatbed iron out and get cracking! God! I love ironing! :(

Ruddy flatbed won't - the steaming has packed up for some reason. So, I had to get the steam generator iron out instead.
So far I've done about 18 tees but there's still a way to go. I'm not going to iron everything before we go.
Today's flight is delayed until 9pm tonight - yesterday's only went out at noon!!!! However, Virgin have told me that they're sure everything will be back to normal tomorrow.
I do hope so!

What time do you leave for the guest house? Here is to taking off near enough on time.

We don't have to leave until at least 7.30pm tonight - there's no point going any earlier as we'll just end up sitting in the room! Also, all the rush hour traffic will have gone after 7.30pm. When we drive to Bognor, we always set off at 7pm and there's still quite a bit of traffic at that time.
I've begun packing. Well, I've put most of my clothes into my suitcase. lol
Emma's case will be next, and then OH's.
I will then gather all the shoes together and the toiletry bags, and then borrow a bit from each case to put into the fourth. I can't have one case with nothing but shoes and toiletries in it, after all.
OH has gone out to get petrol - and some nice bread for dinner and I will steam the remaining veg in the fridge to have with it - well, at the price veg is, I don't want to just throw a whole cauliflower and 1lb of carrots away!
My problem is that my tankini is too small for me - and my two-piece is too big. Yup. And I thnk Emma's swimwear is also too small now. Oh well - Wal-Mart here we come!

I don't believe it!!!
Tomorrow's flight is showing as not leaving until 9pm! How on earth can they know now that they're going to be behind because of the weather tomorrow? It's crazy.
And this is going to cost them a darn sight more than a £15 meal voucher, that's for sure!
Gatwick is not designed for sitting around for long periods - it's very uncomfortable and there aren't enough places to sit, either.
There's always the chance that we'll get a window to leave earlier, but it may not happen. And yes, I really want to arrive in America at 1.10am their time (or 6.30am our time). I can't sleep on planes.

Oh not good but at least you have some advance notice! Hope that you have a lovely time when you do get there and come back and tell us about all the lovely goodies they have at silly prices!
